When Vmoto / Super Soco batteries experience unusual events, such as extreme discharge or communication issue, their BMS can lock out to prevent further damage to the battery cells and fire hazard.
An experienced battery technician can resolve the underlying problem, but BMS will still remember the problem and refuse to function.
Most technicians end up replacing the BMS for a new one. This will solve the problem, but you are essentially throwing away a perfectly good BMS just because it remembers a problem that is long gone. You are also creating unnecessary e-waste, making this approach neither economical nor ecological.
Vmoto provides authorized dealers with advanced diagnostic tools.
These tools are designed to detect the underlying battery issue. Once you are sure where the problem is, you can resolve the cause.
Furthermore, the diagnostic tool can also be used to clear the BMS error and make the battery operational again.
These tools are mostly computer based and they can be intimidating for more mechanically-oriented technicians.
It also doesn't help that the documentation is outdated...
